Hilary
Hilary is originally from a small midwest town in the middle of nowhere and moved to the Wichita area in 2007. She’s always been an artist but only discovered her love for painting on skin in the last decade. After she played around with face painting on her own six kids (yes–six kids!) for a few months she decided to start face painting for friends. Eventually it turned into a dream job and she decided to make it a business. Her inspiration really came from her cousin MJ of S A Entertainment in the Kansas City area. Hilary has claimed on many occasions that face painting is her therapy. She has an ability to make kids (and adults) feel instantly at ease in her chair while she paints them. She has her own unique style of face painting and enjoys coming up with new ideas to suit special events. She spends her free time throwing down mad rhymes, killing people with kindness, and trying to make minivans cool again. (Oh, and Hilary recently wrote and published her first children’s book!) Hilary feels lucky for each and every face she has the opportunity to paint.
Lauren
Lauren Knapp started her face painting career at Disney Word back in 2014. She moved to Wichita to raise her family and has since been enjoying creating many different types of art. When it comes to face painting, she enjoys overcoming new design challenges and creating fresh, original designs to bring a smile to each face. In her spare time, she can be found hanging out with her family, spoiling her cats, writing and illustrating children’s books, exploring new places, and shopping for more and more art supplies. Look for Lauren’s artwork displays around town including the Wichita Public Library!
Shannon
Meet Shannon. Born and raised right here in Kansas. Shannon owns Beige Beauty Salon in the heart of Wichita which sadly takes up most of her time. She’s always been extremely interested in art and as she grew up that interest turned into a love. Her hobbies include long walks down Hobby Lobby aisles, binge watching Netflix with her husband and pets, and doodling all over everything she can get her hands on. Shannon is going on her eighth year working with Just Face It and loves every second of it! Shannon says face painting is such a satisfying job because of all the excitement it brings. “It’s not everyday that a child (or child at heart) gets to experience this colorful world so the smiles and joy that comes with it is wonderful”! Her favorite part about being a face painting artist is the challenge of creating what the customer imagines, or hopefully something better. She tends to keep her phone handy while working incase she gets that crazy request that she’s never heard of–you may catch her doing a quick Google search and brain storming to see if she can make your idea a reality! As Shannon’s family and career grow we get to spend less and less time with her at events but she’ll always be a part of our family of artists.
Brittany
Brittany, a local Wichitan, has been a natural artist her whole life. Brittany is currently a physical therapist in her big girl job but she can’t resist filling her free time with anything art. She is passionate about painting and drawing mostly. Her talents are many, in fact, she recently painted a giant mural in Colorado! Brittany is very excited to be working with Just Face It and to continue to share her love for painting with the community. In Brittany’s spare time (when she’s not galavanting around the country painting murals) you can find her playing with her dog, reading books, traveling with her husband, and coloring.
Kellsey
Kellsey is originally from the Wichita area. Everyone who meets Kellsey instantly loves her and kids are especially drawn to her. Kellsey recently graduated with her applied science of early childhood degree! Kellsey has been face painting for about five years but only recently became acquainted with Just Face It and we are THRILLED she agreed to join our team. In her free time Kellsey can be caught hanging out with her family, bumping to sick beats in her cool car, watching lifetime movies, or just hanging out at Target (seriously, isn’t that what we all want to be doing?). Her favorite thing about face painting is that she is able to contribute to making kids feel good about themselves and, of course, GLITTER!
Destanee
Destanee was born and raised in the midwest and has been a natural artist most of her life. She is currently attending Butler Community College majoring in Elementary Education. Destanee has been face painting for over five years and has worked for Just Face It for over three of those years. Her other hobbies include traveling, doodling, collecting crystals, and binge watching all things true crime. When it comes to face painting she loves the challenges of painting special requests such as cartoon characters. This girl can paint just about anything she can pull up and image of on her phone! She finds the most rewarding part of her job when she sees a child spark with excitement when they see their paint reveal. Destanee is notorious for showing up too early to each event and often you’ll just find her jamming out in her car just waiting for the rest of us to show up. Reliable is her middle name an we love that about her!
Kylea
Kylea is still working on her bio but in the meantime I’m going to brag a little about her work. She has worked with Just Face It for a little over 5 years and we actually met her when she was a model once for a photo shoot gig we were hired to paint for. She is an artist in a variety of ways including designing tattoo’s as well as decorating cakes and cupcakes! Kylea can be found hanging out with her kids and enjoying nature when she’s not painting or making cakes. Kylea is also great at doing custom designs and can paint just about anything you request of her. She is an absolute vital part of our team.
